im thinking about changing my UP faders to rotary knobs, has anyone done this before and is it easy to install myself? I've research on this topic and i have had no luck, i would greatly appreciate the help.

Pretty sure it's just a couple of screws you have to deal with.

i did it on my vestax pcv-175 and it was a piece of cake. unscrew a couple of screws, disconnect the faders and connect the rotaries screw them on and you're set.
i would think it would be quite similar on the pioneer.
Junior Wilkins
so you its just unscrewing so screws and connecting the fader?
Zild
Yep faders are held in with a couple of screws and a little plastic connector to connect the fader to the PCB.

hum I'm hijacking the topic.

Can I do that with my Xone92 ? (Faders to Rotaty)
Zild
Yes they sell a rotary kit. I think. Maybe you have to order it as a rotary already but I don't see why they wouldn't sell the kit. It's just taking out some screws and disconnecting the wires from the circuit board. No soldering or anything like that.

i'm sure you could if you'd get a rotary kit for the xone:92 somewhere. i haven't seen one available anywhere though and i'm quite sure they don't sell one. and also on the xone:92 the soundboards and everything are connected to the faceplate. so when you unscrew it you'd have to find a way to get the faceplate removed as well and you'd have to get a new faceplate too as it's one piece unlike the djm 800 where you just change the fader area when you change it to rotary.
so in short: it could be done, but i don't think it'll be easy at all.

this is the reason i bought the rotary version in the first place (altho i'm not really bothered that i don't have the option to change to linear faders as i don't see ever wanting to use them).

start your own topic :haha:
Alex
I'm sure there must be rotary kits out there for the 92, but at the same time know they sell the mixers seperately and charge a lot more for the rotary one
