a few things really:
1. you paint that religious bitch green and she'll look like the Grinch
2. Thomas Jane is an undervalued actor. Damn good and I'd like to see him in more movies. I bet he regrets 'The Punisher'.
3. If that little kid starts crying I swear to god I'll... ohh.
4. Ha ha ha bitch got a can of peas to the head.
5. The whole tentacle melting thing was really unnecessary - made it a bit stupid like the wicked witch of the west.
6. Good ass movie - a bit of a musing on society during conflict in general. How the weak become the sheep - and the strong can't do anything about it because there are usually so few of them. Reminds me of 'The Life Of Brian' how some worship the gourd and others the sandal and so on. Also pertains to current events - how some out there are prosecuting our troops and blaming the war on them. GO SEE THIS! |

Interesting observation.
I don't disagree with it, but I just find it interesting how, in the movie, it was the fanatical religious so eager to defame the military, yet in reality, it seems the fanatical religious so eager to support it. This is an odd dynamic in itself, I suppose - sort of how you (or I do anyways :P) would so readily curse the presence of police on the streets as they interfere with your doings, yet wish there was a cop around every time you see somebody else do something ty. It's just the way people tend to use their constructions - tools, guns, government, religion, God, etc... Everything is so wonderful when it fits that frame of 'order', but once things no longer live up to how we think they should, once something goes 'wrong', we can just as easily turn on them. It seems one of those uncontrollable primitive inclinations and really should make people question just where their loyalties as 'citizens' lie.
