| It would be nice to see AT&T come into Canada and whip out every single mobile provider in Canada  |

I agree. |

| Lets hope videotron buys into this, they're very ferocious pricing wise. |

i worked for at&t (or former cingular) and they really didn't have that great of plans for their mobile customers.
competition, and anything to break up a monopoly is great, but at&t doesn't offer much in terms of plans. |

As long as we can have like lower prices would be nice.
Only half decent thing from Rogers is their 1 GB (3.5G) plan which is $65/month. Thing is most of the 3.5G phones that I like only work in Europe.
I just wish we could get like unlimited on EDGE for like peanuts ($25-$50/month).
Plus if we had AT&T in Canada could get the iPhone booyah. We would probably still get screwed over and still have to pay a load more. Seeing Canada has 1/10th population on the US. Another thing which would be nice. If AT&T did come into Canada and we could call people in the US that use AT&T and wouldn't have to pay long distance or vice versa. Also would be great for traveling in the US no roaming. |

There NEEDS to be more competition, and American businesses are always down for some of that!
I hope they run Bell Mobility out of town, those ing crooks :whip: |

hahaha.
Now to bring Directv into Canada, totally different subject though.
It is interesting how here in Canada the government protects monopolies and in the US they try and destroy them. This country is ed. Pseudo-communist/capitalist run country. |

:p
It's not that simple.
We aren't commies, we're just a lot less privatized than the Americans are.
I like my non-$90,000+ hospital bills and cheaper education. I do however dislike quite a few of the wanna-be Canadian monopolies like our banks and cell phone companies.
Bell mobility can suck a dick
RBC can suck a dick
BMO can suck a dick
I hate banks and cell phones, I'm surprised RBC hasn't monopolized the Canadian cell phone industry somehow, I can see it now "RBC Mobility, getting you into as much ing debt as possible".
They could even combo their gay ass Visa cards into something like air miles but instead it's cell phone minutes... Kind of like what Visa did with World of Warcraft, hahahahahaha. |

Any company that has me so angry that i yell at them for 2 hours straight, needs to go to hell. Needless to say, i hung up crying out of anger, because they are that STUPID.
speaking of the iphone, doesn't rogers have it? i thought they were supposed to get it...
with rogers, I pay 20$ for 5mb Edge (where available), and 1000 texts, call id, 100 MMS, etc.. i don't mind it.
but i do wish it was all unlimited.
ps. why do the G3.5 phones you like only work in europe? I thought once they're unlocked, and in the proper GSM frequency, they can work anywhere? I had a phone from europe that worked here... (from ebay)
plus, most new phones now are quad band, no? |

Europe is 2100 MHz and here we use something else like that. |
