plus guys if you're handing this out to DJ's to play, you want it to be as big and loud as all the other tracks this DJ is playing otherwise you'll clear the dance floor.

| i still believe in proper mixing. mastering won't make a real difference if your mixing skills are great. and to get it as loud as other stuff it's very easy with the current technology. just use a sonnox inflator and limiter and you're already there.. |

mastering is just adding a bit of sparkle and polish to the final mix. a limiter can make a track as big as you want. that sample i posted is without a limiter so it shows the capabilities you can do without wasting money on people mastering when as i already said your label does before it puts it on vinyl/cd. so your wasting your own money. its stupidity tbh. |

I have a better idea, send me one of your tracks unmastered, and i'll do my best to it without listening to the professionally mastered version. This will be fun. You know my AIM, eeiixxxxx , send it to me there.
This will be fun, because I consider myself pretty good at mastering, I've sat in professional mastering sessions done in million dollar studio with SSL console and fatty outboard gear.. and the final output still just ends up going through L3 ultra maximizer..
Yes this will be fun.. then I shall post the results here so all can hear my mastering job on software compared to the guy who charges $165 and uses analog..
EDIT: No actually, lets see what sterrilis can do compared to your professional mastering.. Cause Sterrilis is bein a little bitch... U think u got game fool? lets see it.

spell my name right idiot for a start, and if you want ill post a sample of a track i made. first the mixdown and second is with some limiting.
and i didnt say i mastered tracks you bellend that was my whole point. i said a good mixdown then a limiter is all you need. so why would i try and master a track when i dont master my own :rolleyes: |
