wow! what a night. saeed surpassed all my expectations. i was worried it was going to be electro all night based on a few sets of his that i have recently downloaded, but it was a night full of proggy tribally beats! definately goes down as one of the best sets i've heard live in a long time.

| WOW..Best music at Mod ever since Exposed started...:-) I am so glad I chose to go to this, since not going to the Guv tonight instead. Nice to see so many TAs and good to meet you MissK, and I think the guy with you was Urban Legend, couldn't remember the nick completely. Dude, she's one of the best guestlist girls in the industry. She's very accomodating. It's dealing with sketchy people like you that makes her job difficult, yet, she tries to handle it in a professional manner.
Wait, let me guess, there was probably a mix up with the amount of comps you were supposed to get. She's very good at taking care of people, provided they meet the guestlist requirements.
For example, if you say cribby +5 and you are supposed to get 2 comps and 2 reduced, but you show up with 3 people, why the hell do you think you should be entitled to those 2 comps when there's only three of you. You should be entitled to that, if everyone shows up, but not if only half the group shows up. A LOT of people don't understand her reasoning, but she's totally right in how the way she handles the door. In a situation that I just mentioned, she'll probably work things out with you, but you have to understand the circumstances. |

Do you even know whom I was referring to? It wasn't Erika. You're calling me sketchy? FYI, I was completely sober... my eyes weren't bulging out of my eye sockets, tripping balls like she was. Everyone knows I'm a very polite person, and I've never encountered anyone like that in my 3 years of partying.
Accommodating? I don't consider threats and unwarranted bitching/yelling to be professional.
And no, that was not the situation at hand...and she was NOT understanding. She wasn't even on planet earth... nor was she making any sense.
My situation was:
My friend was celebrating her birthday, and her friend was supposed to put her on comp list. She forgot, and the Glist girl didn't want to do anything about it in our favour. Fine, that's understandable in the industry. I still had reduced list for one person, and she gave me a ticket. Prior to this, I was also waiting on a friend to arrive who had a comp ticket for me. Since the bday girl wasn't able to get her comp, I was going to give her mine and I'd used the reduced ticket. We waited beside the coat check for my friend to arrive. The glist girl made a random appearance...spotted us waiting. I told her I was waiting for a friend for comp, and she yelled and said no. She was under the impression that I was trying to 'con' into getting a comp that I wasn't supposed to have. I tried politely explaining to her that this comp had nothing to do with the list more than 5 times. She just wasn't comprehending (I wonder why :rolleyes: ), and started to yell. I ignored her. Friend arrived, and she refused to give him the comp he was supposed to get for me, because she saw that I was his friend. I figured I did something to get on her bad side, but I can't recall being anything but nice. We managed to get the comp anyway from someone else, and we were about to enter the club and use it. And guess who was waiting by the cash handler? The glist girl. She screamed at us yet again..told the cash handler not to accept the comp ticket, and made my friend pay full cover.
She was really trying to be a bitch and make our night difficult...I mean who takes leave from their station, just to make sure we can't use the comp? Absolutely ridiculous.
So yea... get your head out of your ass. You should know me better than that. |

saeed was good but he was too inconsistant in my opinion...he would play some slamming tribal then drop a funky tech house song with vocals....just didnt do it for me but overall i thought he delivered! |
