| my gf lives in Pittsburgh and i live in Denver. i am in the air force so they moved me out here. i left in may of 06 and this x mass will be the sixth time i went home. we get frustrated with each other some times but i believe it is because of the distance. The plan is to move in with each other once she is done w/ collage. |

It's funny that you started this thread. I just watched a movie for my English class about a couple who've been married for 50 years and the wife gets Alzheimer's. She has to go into a nursing home and their policy is that for the first 30 days the residents aren't allowed any visitors so that they can adjust properly.
Well the husband gets upset about it, because in their 50 years of marriage, they've never been apart for a month...and yeah it got me thinking about this, heh. :p |
Was it "Away From Her" ? |

Hahah yeah. I went to high school with the actress who played the young version of her. Stacey Laberge. |

Ha, cool. I actually haven't seen the movie. Is it good? |

It's pretty sappy, and very Canadian. I think I would have liked it more if I didn't have to watch it for school.
But yeah, it was good. |

| I was away from my girl for 3 months when I was in Oklahoma. Longest 3 months ever and definitely the most Ive ever masturbated since puberty. |

Cool. It was played at my town's film festival, but I missed it. I'll have to rent it. |

Glad to hear that its still going strong through distance. My recent ex goes to college a couple hours away and we're both busy as so after this summer we decided to call it quits for a while, see other people. Yeah, I regret going along with that every day :( |

| Long distance relationship with someone for 7 years. School/work/family circumstances made it tolerable. It started long-distance overseas (seing each other 2-3 time per year, and for one year, zero times) then she moved to Montreal so we were seeing each other at least once a month for the last 2 years of the relationship. That was over 1 year ago and while it was a beautiful relationship (each time we met it was like a honeymoon), I hope I never have to go through that again. Despite the daily chats and constant texts/emails/MSN/letters/greeting cards, I really didn't get to know her :( |
