lol yeah that's what I thought too, cause 135 db is very very dangerous
Regular exposure of more than 1 minute
risks permanent hearing loss.
120 dB Thunderclap, discotheque/boom box
110-125 dB Stereo
110-140 dB Rock concerts
130 dB Jet takeoff, shotgun firing
145 dB Boom cars |

The first is not necessarily an LCD. It could just be a bunch of LED 7-segment displays. Can’t really tell from that picture. |

hmmm now that u mention it, the inconsistancy in the colour means it might actually be LED...d'oh |

didn't pay much attention to the reading but a transient peak in the dBA scale could easily reach that high especially if the meter is too close to the speaker or the meter is set to a fast response time (it is normal to check the levels in a club in the c scale and with the rate set to a slower sample time so you get an average reading
If it is a pure BPM counter and i doubt it due to the front panel layout (it could be a multi test meter including bpm, spectrum and spl functions) then this is something similar

oh yeah for sure, you just need to have all the equimpent already though, not worth to buy everything just for this one project.
but yeah, a microcontroller like any of the PIC series would be able to run this easily. |
