Hold on a sec. I never was, nor claimed to be, talking about LA. But not knowing LA's new year's eve offerings like the back of my hand doesn't make me wrong about the lack of diversity and non-local talent (note: actual talent, not just a big name) in SF. It's probably a shame if LA doesn't have any breaks or dubstep that night, like it's a shame that SF has no worthwhile trance, progressive, or TECHNO.

The best part is I live in San Diego ;)

the other best part is that I'm going to be in Houston for new year's (live there, go to school here) :toothless

I am very excited for Sasha & Digweed,

TAO Meetup!

Yeah, so I think i'm gonna skip this. The more I think about the more I don't wanna be stuck in an arena with bad sound and a bunch of cracked out kids.

Sure, Christopher Lawrence, DJ Dan, TCM don't play breaks but they're also BAD. And it's not just a question of not liking the genre, I've seen all of them live and none of them were any good.

I think it is a question of not liking the genre.

lol have you heard christopher lawrence's set from wmc ultra fest 07?
almost as many trainwrecks as oakenfold. plus the tracks he played were like wtf? i like good trance, but i really think his style is anything but (in terms of mixing and tracks). plus i've seen him a few times live and i wasn't very impressed at all.

I haven't heard it, but I don't think an Ultra Fest set is the tell all be all of an artist.

And I can put my 2 cents in and say the couple times I have seen him were great sets with top notch mixing. His style is definitely different from regular trance, not for everyone.
