Music to study to (pg. 3)

The album 'Middle of Nowhere' by Orbital is an excellent study-companion for me.

As is Paul Oakenfold's Live @ Space in Ibiza 1999 Essential Mix.

When it comes to studying, I can only listen to music when practicing accounting, math, economics, finance, or other calculation based problems. When doing these, I like to listen to tribal or banging progressive house to get me pumped up and get me into the Zone. That's right, I like getting pumped up to do accounting problems, haha.

Stuff like minimal or breaks distracts me too much. Also, it has to be sets or CDs that I've listened to before or else I get distracted.

When it comes up to reading and memorizing stuff, I can't listen to music at all.

jazz.fm is awesome.

As long as they don't get into too much vocally stuff.

Try budha barr compilations or cafe del mar...it's slow, chill, and you can concentrate!
Jeff Button
Tosca
Kruder & Dorfmeister
Dj Shadow (his older stuff)
Thievery Corporation (worth mentioning again)
Verve Remixed Comps

I've also been told that my Sunset Sessions promo is 'great for at work' - but at the time, I didn't know if I should take that as a compliment or a dis. lol

Skipper
I can't listen to straight up electronic music when I study. I don't actually listen to very much when I study, but today the Properly Chilled Podcast is doing the trick nicely - a nice selection of electro-jazz, downtempo, some dubby breakbeat stuff and a few vocals.

You can search for it through itunes.
