Mayweather VS Hatton (pg. 6)
View this Thread in Original format

Really bummed that Hatton got KO'd. He was cruising for a technical loss anyway, I guess...

Even though Hatton did a really good job of taking away Mayweather's footwork, it just didn't matter when he was landing punches the way he did.

There's a lot of people who got up at 5AM to watch this here in England, and a lot of people who are just having a crummy, rainy day now :)

as for the fight, yeah...Mayweather pretty much controlled the fight clocked Hatton good in the 10th round. not much else to say than Hatton was overmatched.

Even with PBF's victory today, it's still hard to take the claim that Floyd Mayweather is the best "pound for pound" boxer today seriously (forget all time) when he hasn't faced the other stars of the welterweight division like Miguel Cotto.

who are the stars besides miguel cotto? he's beaten judah, baldomir(fluke), de la hoya etc..
paul williams (which isn't a "star") and miguel cotto are his only opponents that he'd have to face.. cintron got his ass handed to him by margarito a while back, and is starting to make a comeback but he's not pbf worthy yet imo..

was going to root for ricky, up until the Brits started booing during the Star Spangled Banner, I would be pissed off if someone booed during God Save the Queen, your in Vegas, the pound is getting you guys halp price drinks for all intence purposes, how about a little respect,really?-with that being said the fight was fun because it sounded like a Liverpool-chelsea game, Brits are truly great sports fans, maybe the best in the world, but that was awfully petty of them collectively last night..... when Floyd came out to Born In the USA I immediately said F> it im rooting for Floyd, not even sure Floyd that bad of a guy, lots of what he does is for the cameras, sell tickets, and gain coverage, Joe Cortez ruined the fight, shut up and get out of the way, like very other sport now-a-days, the official wants to be part of the action, which is sad

and the danzig fight.. those two shoulda been main events

I hate War Machine. But that fight was awesome. I also liked Tommy more than Danzig. But, it was fairly obvious that Danzig was gonna win that one.

Gotta admit it people but Mayweather is quality...PBF was scared less in the first four rounds but as Ricky tired Floyd dominated...Ricky I think knew he had to knock the guy out early and planned the wrong fight...Mayweather made it look so easy it was embarrassing..I was watching the fight in a British pub with about a thousand other Brits and by round five we all knew it was over....

Oh well James,,How would you like your $50...

the first four rounds were sloppy, but Hatton surely wasn't dominating him.

i take cash, cashier's checks, postal money orders, pay pal transfers, wire transfers, and i'm working on accepting credit cards. nah....fuk that, when we cross paths you can pay me in shots. hopefully my schedule eases up sometime soon so i can venture outside of the library, my house, and my office.

You know what bro ???...As much as I hate Mayweathers persona I dont think I've ever seen a boxer with as much skill..

Sheila made a great point,,she said "all that Ricky had going for him was power,,and as soon as he tired it got ugly and sloppy"...And it did...

Mayweather looked scared to death early on in the fight,,Ricky took the smug grin off his face but Mayweather stuck to his plan and destroyed him..

i think a little bit of mayweathers persona may also be a show. he's probably not the best person, but he seems to know how to drum up publicity. I read an article where he said he knows that people don't like him, and they want to root against him. Sometimes that more valuable than actually having fans. I think he realizes that, and is using that as his marketing ploy. It's made him $50,000,000 just this year!
