Funny, I'm actually looking for a roommate.
Any advice? |

Yea, because sticking to my word makes me a douche, while roomies being total hypocrites who mock me on top of it are totally nice people.
I'm sure you'd get along fine with my roomies.
Anyway, I already said I regret writing that on her noteboard. When it comes down to it, I hate being a dick. I don't really know what to do about this situation right now though, and I'm caving under the stress. |

I share a house with one of my mates. Never had any problems at all. Some of my mates have lived with four or so strangers and got on well with them. I also know people who have had big black blokes standing on their doorstep asking where their money is or had their housemate run off with the furniture.
Before you move in with anyone it's worth sussing them out. You need to be a good judge of character.
I'd move out if I was you regardless about contracts they mean nothing. Get out the house more too, it will cut down the chances of having further arguments. |

I barely ever run into them. I leave the house by noon at the latest, and always get home after 2AM. And I do it 90% because I hate my living arrangements. I just try and stay out of their way and hope that they stay out of mine. Unfortunately, they don't. :(
Any advice on what I should do next time I run into her etc.? I'm already paranoid that they are sabotaging my food.
Man I hate this. I'm the only person in the house (aside from the new roomie who just moved in) who actually tries to be reasonable and work things out, but I end up getting ed in the end.
And at least here, contracts DO mean something, or I would have been out of here already. I literally pursued it legally (spent 2 days looking into it). The laws here are stupid. |

| Can you find someone to replace you, and make a deal with your landlord that way? |

First of all you made a complaint about another roommate. Bad idea as no one likes a grass (or at least where I'm from). Never inform on no one.
Cut her face with Stanley? No next time you run into her be sociable. If there is an atmosphere it'll make it uncomfortable for everyone else. Since your already on bad terms with them they'll still talk about you behind your back for a while.
Why would someone poision you over a domestic? You are being paranoid.
Walk away, don't get drawn into petty squabbles. If you can tell a conversations about to turn into a disagreement, go for walk or go out and get drunk or off your face. Most of all take a break go away for a few weeks or something. |

I didn't because my friends convinced me that it's not worth all the effort of finding a person, then having to find a place in time for January, then having to move ALL my (I have a lot of stuff). I mean I actually tried, but even then my landlord was being a bitch (long story), so I had to just give up on it.
I'd rather be working on my thesis during Christmas break anyway, and not moving stuff around.
Oh btw, I only "reported" the guy breaking his terms of the lease after he did it THREE times (twice after separate verbal agreements with me when I tried to compromise). Like I said before, I tried to work it out with him reasonably and be nice. The kid is just a douche. I mean, he recently had a party where apparently the cops came over for some reason (nobody else was home). |

| Well, this situation is obviously messing with your life a bit. Yet, if you still think moving out isn't worth the effort, then it's your choice and you have no right to moan about it, really. Just take it in the chin, try not to pick up fights, ignore all these bollocks and concentrate on what's important to you. |

Exactly what I've been trying to do. Sometimes though you have moments of bad judgment and do things you end up regretting, like me writing that message, ha. |

haha, oh man
I regret doing something earlier today. Basically, there is this note board on the wall. Someone (pretty sure its Person X) left another bitchy note at me saying "stop doing BLA, you're not going to win our hearts over etc."
I basically cracked mentally and said " this, the **** had this coming".
I wrote on her message paper:
"Practice what you preach. Then talk.
me > you"
That's literally what I wrote. It's 100% justified, believe me (I'm not one of those people who thinks he's better than everyone), but I regret it only because it's going to cause tension in the house. Anger sometimes takes over logic.
Honestly though, the bitch had it coming. I wish I woulda waited until April to say it though.
I should have taken my friend's advice in this situation and played random funny/cocky/confusing, just to with their heads and keep them guessing. |
I wrote my old room mate a note too.
