Why TranceAddict doesn't like Download Accelerator programs

Why no download accelerators?

Picture a huge pitcher of beer - that is my available bandwidth
Each person on dialup gets 1 straw
Each person on a fast connection gets a few straws..
They all suck up the beer at a certain rate, somebody can refill the beer (the bandwidth) if that rate is kept at a certain level, but, if some people decide to come in with 20 or 30 straws (Download Accelerators) then they screw it all up - and soon there is NO BEER left and it can't be poured fast enough to keep up with the straws and NOBODY gets drunk (Singles/Livesets/Videos). |

hehe thats as good an explanation i cud think of, although if i thought one up it wud have to involve cheese or hamsters...! :D |

i use getright, but not multiple connections
its actually slower for me, i just have one or two files going, one from AG and one from TA :D |

We have not yet cable connections around here so praise the god that you are on a cable modem!WE'll probably see cable modems in a couple of years for sure,but till then..Dialup rules |

ohhhh....sorry to hear that.
yah, Dallas has had cabel modems for a long time, i think we were like one of the first in the U.S.
hopefully greece will be soon. :D |

actually i'm on a 33.6 modem but i don't use download accelerator progs... can't say i'm happy with my modem but i would love o get the fu**ing cable already!!! |

Hehe...greece rules :)
i went there last year. not much in he way of clubs where i went but we still managed to get completely faced and my g/f had to get her stomach pumped (it cost like £50!!). Booze is soooo cheap out there!
we caused havok in athens too...it was great ;)
would love to come back some time and check out the real clubs, and ladies :eyes:
