What the deuce? [Switching from FL to Cubase]

FL Studio was really easy to use compared to this Cubase. I can't even figure out how to make a simple 4/4 beat. Is it supposed to be this complicated? Am I overreacting? Any help would be really appreciated.

create a midi track, draw a track then double click on it and place your notes on the piano roll.

Cool, that worked, thanks. I assume it's the same steps but you have to use VST Instruments to make the kick drum sound? I hope.

Ah, the . Welcome :)

Anyway, I found a quick little tutorial that showed me how to assign the drums to a midi and then use the drum editor to edit drum beats manually. It feels really basic compared to FL. And where are the saw effects or other sounds that make trance music.

To get the basic beat either add audio track, find you a kick drum and import it or add midi, use a vst for loops and such.

A cheaper alternative to tbe above DVD would be this book

Got mine for like $12 and totally helped me out.
