From what I read a while ago, they are using a new technique involving several cameras, each focused on a different depth during acting scenes. So when they are overlayed, everything is in focus, much like an animated cartoon where the background and foreground are in focus.

Not surprising as the Wachowski brothers have a long history of making terrible, terrible movies.
In fact, "V for Vendetta" is the only one they've ever had anything to do with that's actually worth watching.

I didn't even like that - thought it had so much potential to be a really awesome, very deep, sci-fi/action movie, and it just turned out to be a trilogy of poorly written tech-demonstrations.

The racing scenes look so bad. So so bad. I remember seeing screenshots and I thought they were done that way for publicity shot reasons, I didn't think they ACTUALLY looked like that. Lame :o
Also that guy is a terrible Speed Racer! I liked him The Girl Next Door, but there's a guy at work that looks EXACTLY like Speed Racer. In fact I didn't even bother to learn his name, I just call him Speed.
