:D I can't stop because that party was just that much off the wall! I'm glad I saw the usuals and some new faces as well! Hope everyone had a good time and I hope to see you all out for my b-day on the 29th for Kyau and Albert and Ronski Speed because that night is just too monsterous to miss! :disbelief
All i can really say is wow, ive never heard any set that was even close to this in terms of nonstop energy and quality tune selection. this is gonna easily become one my fondest memories of 2007. thanks again to matt and marcello for getting me in and organizing everything so it would be a fun and overall amazing night for me...even though i had to work the ticket booth until 12:30 lol
anyway set wise i couldnt have asked for anything better and both tyas and colontonio seemed like really chill guys, hopefully tom will remember me from last night on here lol. anyway i will post pictures later tonight...thanks for a great time everyone

Haven't seen that many glowsticks since I went to that rave! What a fun party and nice breakfast afterwards :)

Wowww.... Incredible pics from both of you, I love it! I had a blast last night and haven't seen Shelter with that many people since the first time I went there, for Made Event's MANDY & Burridge night more than a year ago... It's good to see that a party like that brought out more heads and a crazier time than something like the Josh Wink or Loco Dice parties that have since been there in the past year... It's a true achievement and like Michael said to me last night, "it just keeps getting better and better." I'd like to thank Michael for having me, and all of you for coming, it was truly incredible how many people (that I know and don't know) asking me what time my set was on, because they wanted to catch it... On a night with guys like Tyas, Simon, and Tom, it's incredible to have people supporting myself as well, the promoters I've been playing for and working with have a great sense of how to successfully mix good locals with big names, and as I see last night and the past few parties we've all been to, we're absolutely lucky to have guys like Massive, Core, Jet Lag, SSU, etc., giving guys that chance... Sorry for the rant, but it was something that came to mind last night...
Back to the party, I loved the different atmospheres, it was like night and day between going upstairs and downstairs, with great sets all around... I was a bit uneasy about tagteaming/rotating with the People NYC guys, since I don't really know them at all, and there was a lot of them haha... but it ended up being fun, and was interesting how we kept a general "sound" going up, while still adding our own influences; it was like a game of "taps" with a basketball...
I met a lot of new people, and I'd like to acknowledge as many as I can remember hehe... Johnny Monsoon, you rock, it was great meeting you and I hope you had fun in New York, and liked Grey's Papaya aka Papaya Dog: it's a New York institution... Uncle Ed, a huge pleasure meeting you, you're a very cool guy, surprised I haven't met you before, thanks for coming and introducing, I never woulda figured out who you were haha... Steven Neil/Grover, you're a legend; that's all that need be said... I'm definitely forgetting people, but I'm so hungry and chowing down on White Castle breakfast, it's going straight to my head haha...
Last night proved to me once again how Gabriel Ananda's "trommelstunde" is my favorite track... I think main floor just cleared out so the second I put that track on, the basement was packed and going crazy; I blurred my eyes a bit and imagined that we were in Tresor's basement or something Cocoon-ish, and that tune brought me there... gotta love the music :)

it was fairly full upstairs by 11pm which was kinda suprising. walking upstairs to seeing all those people with glow sticks completely surprised me. normally i like the sticks and will play with them fora bit on the floor but i'm not down with doing poi with the sticks in that small of a space. it looked cool but it severely minimized the dance space. also what was up with all the kiddies? i felt like i was one of the oldest people there :wtf:...interesting mix of people to tell the truth
as for the music unfortunately waited in line for a bit and by the time I made it upstairs I probably caught the last 2min of ryan's set :sadgreen: which was unfortunate because we rushed down there to make it in time to hear him spin. as for tom, he killed it. i am more and more impressed with him each time I hear him spin. played tracks i love and you really can't beat that. also, thanks to danielle for the shirt :) nice touch.
simon came out banging it hard, I don't know the bpm but it was faster than expected which was a pleasant surprise. sean followed him with some high energy tracks and during both their sets and when they tag teamed I danced myself retarded. I went to Sander the night before and knew I had to keep moving or I would fall asleep cause I was tired.
As for the basement,I don't know if it was because I've been overwhelmed with trance lately or not but I really especially enjoyed the music down there. There was a DJ playing before the one with the glasses and it was damn good. Caught a portion of Marcello's set at the end of the evening and damn him the music was so good I was dancing in the ridiculous coat check line.
Glad I decided to go last minute and of course good seeing all the regulars.

I had a great time last night. The energy felt old school once again. It was great to see trance still alive. The glow sticks were also really cool. Artists were able to express their forms with out oppression like back in the good day.

Loved last night :) I truly enjoy parties like these because you get to see all the regulars PLUS all the people you get to see only like twice a year (dirty dave surprise of the night!!;), the philly peeps, DC peeeps, etc......)
def give Tom the set of the night, I loved it!! :) I need to meet his wife, I want one of those shirts!! :D
The brit and tyas rocked it out with the hard trance that I always enjoy, but my only complaint was that it got a little repetitive at the end. It was hard a hard task for any DJ to give me energy after sander last night, but I sucked it up and rocked it til the end!! great beats by those boys, kept the place placked and mah feet movin :)
really pissed we missed ryans set. We left especially early to catch it and ended up in line at the door for ENTIRELY too long. Wtf is with ONE person working all the lines a the door?
downstairs was sikkkkkkkkk. ;) marcello and the People guys were awesome. I spent a good amount of time down there (I think I am getting tranced out) and was really surprised at how much I liked it!!
btw: after sander, I am really grateful to be around normal people again!! haha the people definately make 99% of the party and this was certainly proved after our experiences this weekend <3 Gotta love the TA's who I completely thought were crazy people ..... ;) ;) .....until I saw the mental patients at webster hall the night before.....I love you kids!! ;)

Observation, I got the distinct impression that lot of guys there had man crushes on Simon and Sean...I'm just saying
