Dave Chapelle, when it comes to skit comedy. As a Stand-up though, he's really just average.

My favorite Stand-up Comedian is Joe Rogan. A lot of people aren't even aware that he was and is a Comedian first, his other acting and hosting jobs aside. He has the right balance of social commentary in his routine.

Ultimately, good Comedians break down and expose societal idiosyncrasies, using comedy as a way of disarming us so that we can honestly consider these flaws without our usual prejudices in support for, or against, a particular issue or person.

Comedy is really a brilliant form of philosophy...one that is much more affective in bringing people to consider alternative viewpoints than is straight-forward debate, IMHO.

I like demitri, expecially when he plays the guitar during stand up. I recently found out he was a writer on Conan's show

No hate involved but to think that he's better at sketch writing than at stand up?! He doesn't write a lot of those sketches on his own, his stand up is leaps and bounds funnier than 90% of the other comics out there. No stupid ing gimmick like funny songs, or drawings, or being a spastic (I'm talking to you Dane Cook). He just talks about funny .

I like the way Clovis put it, "It's like he's in your living room just talking to you". And he HAPPENS to be absolutely hilarious.
