Well played sir. A fine way to end 2007.

obviously not crowd control. LOL. I heard tiestos set was cut immensely short because it was so packed and the fire marshall shut the down. that sucks. i'm glad i didn't go this year.

THey cut him off for about a half hour. Lame, but I guess it was getting pretty dangerous up front. Sucked, but it gave me a chance to catch Z-Trip (who I had been wanting to check out) for a bit, so that was cool.

Arrived at 10:04 p.m. with VIP ticket, and took almost 2 hours from then to wait in line for 2 drinks and check my coat. While waiting for second drink, people in line were upset that they might miss the countdown, so I checked my cell and it was 11:25 p.m. Waited 30 minutes (and line was shorter this time!) and barely got back in time (11:58 p.m.) to watch the countdown. There didn't seem to be any limit on the number of VIP tix sold, and there was an upgrade booth right outside the VIP entrance. Way too many people for the bartenders to handle!
So now just starting to dance and get into the music for the first time, and the fire marshall cut off Tiesto's set! Too crowded up front, everyone take 2 steps back, now take another step back, we're going to keep the music off for another 25 minutes, so go get a drink (yeah, right) and walk around, bring up the lights.
So thousands of people were standing there in bright lights with no music...major buzz kill.
I keep wondering what happened this year? Last year, Giant's NYE party seemed much better organized. There were VIP bars inside each tent with chill out areas, and I don't remember waiting over 5 minutes for a drink.
People in line were saying that there were a lot of bars in the regular area without long lines, which just aggravated the situation...pay twice as much for VIP and get treated like cattle!
Tiesto's set was pretty good after the music came back up, but I kept thinking they were going to shut it down again. Breakfast at Denny's across the street was one of the best parts of the night!
sounds intense. i heard someone broke their neck too :(

i had no problem getting drinks/water all night. i was somewhat glad tiesto stopped the show twice, the people were really pushy. some people were really cool, but in general i got a bad vibe
Bob_Motamedi
this was my last Giant event.
The whole VIP experience was worthless..
How can you be a VIP if there are 1500 of you??
it was easier paying for my drinks at the regular bar than the VIP bar.. and I suspect they set this up on purpose to make more money.
same with the bathroom situation..
What a waste of money...
CrazedOut
Losars! Sasha Digweed Ferry ftw!! :D
At least no one broke their neck at TAO :nervous: So terrible...
kingofthenight
the countdown was awful...as soon as tiesto got on the ticker hits 0 i think.
