Good idea though. Will do it from now on.

Seriously dude... go and get receipts if you still can. You shouldn't have to pay a damn cent for someone else's up. Did you book it with a travel agent?

Yep.
Sadly, it doesn't always work that way in India, where even if you're 100% right, and they're 101% wrong, you can't expect them to comply.

I will try though. Those bastards have cost me a good 15 hours of home-time.

Meh, I don't think there is anywhere that you couldn't fight that. Their job is to provide you with a confirmed booking to get you to where you need to be. That's why you paid them a lot of moula. Instead... you got ed. You should be reimbursed for your costs, and the "booking fee" they charged you.

Total B.S.

Why pay people to purchase tickets when it is beyond easy to do now?

1. Easier, since they come over to the office, note down our preferences and book it

2. Cheaper, since they offer us discount over the airline fare, so the modest commission we offer them is still giving us cheaper tickets

3. Credit card deals arent big in India as yet. If you can pay by cash or cheque, it's much preferred.

Funny that if I was in America... I would sue them left, right and centre

good website for when you are stuck in airports, lots of info and stories about the best places to go to sleep in pretty much every airport in the world. Also good for finding good spots for during layovers.

By the way I hate Heathrow with a passion.

I like how Minneapolis is under Michigan.
