i didn't think the infected would do such thing, i thought robert had put it there and then forgotten cuz u know, he was kinda getting crazy...

i thought he fell on his own trap...

yeah, that is a possibility as well.

****SPOILERS (somewhat)****

I thought it was blatantly obvious that it was the head zombie for a number of reasons. 5-10 minutes prior to this scene, we see robert set a very similar trap to capture the female zombie. After she's captured, the "head zombie" shows himself, and even exposes his face into the sunlight.

Robert took the zombies for granted and saw them as thoughtless primitive creatures. This could POSSIBLY be true, but definitely does not hold true for the "head zombie". The head zombie took observation of the trap Robert set, and planted his own during the nighttime. He knew that if he set something out of place that this would make Robert very susceptible for falling for the bait. And to make it even more obvious that it was the head zombie's doing, we see the head zombie waiting for Robert with those 2 dogs anticipating for the sun to set.

Oh and also another thing disproving that it was not a trap set by Robert was that there was no black blanket to scoop up the "victim". Robert designed these traps with a dark blanket so that he could take back the caught zombie to the lab for testing.

Saw the movie on Saturday night and I have to admit it brought back my love for Bob Marley's music. As soon I got home, I put on his "Legend" CD and smoked a fat one for old times. Totally forgot just how much I LOVE BOB!!! :D

yeah, thats what i said the page before.
The head guy was totally proving to be different from all the other guys - especially at the end.

thats what i thought too.. and it was clearly stated throughout the movie and even shown that they are primative and have lost "all typical human patterns" (or however that quote is)...

how do these beings who have shown no sign of intelligence (to us movie viewers) copy this plan and figure out a way to catch him...

these stupid questions should not be left for the viewer to contimplate after teh movie is over...

and they are not vampires b/c vampires bite to transform you, but these zombie/vampire mix were just out to eat him,.. b/c that part was discussed in the movie..

he used the black blanket one time for us to see... there is no mention that he used this over and over... for it to be obvious that it wasnt set up by him they should have shown him set multipule traps using this blanket method... by doing this it would ensure to us that the zombie/vampire peeps set it up and moved the maniquin

they did show to us that he captured many of the zombie/vampire dudes but never showed how on a repeated basis...

all issues that i had when i left the movie that pissed me off,... and with the budget they had and big time will smith and all really makes me upset that the writers and director didnt see this...

I even read a quote later from the Director talking about the writer's strike. Said somethign along the lines that in such a big budget film like I Am Legend that if the strike had happened during filming that they would have shut down production b/c they wouldnt want to try to continue without having the writers there to fix little things on the spot..... What BS... the writers clearly ed this one up anyways, maybe Will Smith or some other competent person should have given their 2 cents to fix the above said problems...

I'm very bitter towards this movie b/c it had great special effects and a great idea but was entirely under developed and could have done way way more with it.

This is why movies suck more and more, because the average viewer is too stupid and needs everything spoon fed to them.

The movie was alright, I was really expecting a lot more. Did anyone see a quick glimpse of the billboard when the camera zoomed up after the female lion killed that buck. It was the batman symbol with superman logo merged as one, I looked it up out of curiosity. Found out that production for the batman+superman movie started, I hope they don't use the same actor they used on superman returns, he was a real actor.

So b/c of what I said does it make me an average viewer who is too stupid and needs those scenes spood fed to me?

Or, did I bring up valid points in why this movie has flaws?

yes... now that is some of the fine detail that this movie had potential to really create... little tiny things like this... pre-production now and follows the time line of NYC coming to an end around xmas 2010..

I remembered that from the movie but didn't think anything of it at the time. Got a link that gives more info about the batman+superman movie?
