there's a lot of about that movie that doesn't make sense. first, when will falls into the trap, its never really clear if the zombies set it for him or if he just went nucking futs and walked into his own trap.

also, when he goes ape on the zombies in his SUV after the dog dies, and is saved at the last minute by that spanish chick, they never explain how she is able to create a giant blast of UV light that instantly kills all zombies in sight. I guess Blade showed up and gave her a hand using one of his many anti-zombie/vampire weapons. that probably would have been a better ending.

also since they clearly show the bridges getting blown up and the tunnels flooded i find it a bit hard getting to manhattan...

The movie was constructed on the premise of man versus science, and than later science versus religion :conf: There was little relevance to the progression of the film, and the filler scenes became monotonous (ie. mutants jumping out of corners). There was a scene that lasted for approximately 30 seconds of Will Smith doing pull ups...I can honestly say the entire crowd in the theater felt awkward.

The butterfly symbolism made no sense - the tattoo of the butterfly on the South American woman's neck made no sense in relation to his daughter's fascination with butterflies. AND, the whole scene with him playing her Bob Marley and saying a speech about how music and love conquers all had absolutely nothing to do with the premise of the movie. Next time, I'd rather just pay someone $10 to kick me in the balls rather than see that movie.

Because it wasn't entertaining.

There was also a scene where he was picking corn and there was a distict shot of the dog looking up to teh sky with a butterfly in it.

more butterfly interaction..... but again... made no sense..

yes...good call on teh running water part...

but for the defense thing... he did make a statement saying that they didnt know where he lived b/c there was that one time when he said to the spanish chick "was there any light when we were driving home?" she responded with something like "there was a little twilight" and he was like "oh, ... they followed us"...

that being said i guess that was the first time they were able to figure out where he lived...

side note, but it wasn't too clear in what was meant by his maps and the circles with the X's going across them... my guess was that he was trying to go through every building in the city and find them to either kill them, or capture them to attempt to fix them... any ideas??

i just watched it and it does not make sense.

- what was that liquid he pours over his jacket?

- who set up the tramp where he fell? himself? the brazilian girl? the vampires?

- and why the hell was he yelling at the manniqui?

- what was the story behind the butterfly?

- and most of all i hated all those fill ups...syncing shrek, working out, telling nonsense things with bob marley in the background and without being high, throwing himself to the vampires, etc...

I think it was some sort of mixture of his blood + liquid?

The vampire since he was waiting for him in the hole.

Scared. Being alone for so long he knows where everything is and how it was placed originally. He was very paranoid when he saw Fred outside the movie rental store then out of nowhere was placed in the middle of nowhere.

- what was the story behind the butterfly?
The Brazilian girl I would believe. She delivered the antidote to the colony and I believe the butterfly acted as a symbol of freedom and new beginnings for humanity after the outbreak.

The movie requires attention, the title "I Am Legend" refers to Bob Marley. His "Legend" album. It all makes sense, just watch it a couple more times.
Krypton
The green goblins did it.
