| i'm still not sure how i feel about this updated Christmas look that's been happening over the last few years. Christmas used to be so... traditional. red and green, with touches of silver and gold. now everywhere i look it's silver and blue. downtown Milwaukee actually has blue Christmas lights in all their decorations this year. it looks really nice but it just seems weird. |

i agree it seems a bit too modernistic. related - silver/"white gold" jewelery has replaced gold. especially in wedding bands etc. rich bitches get the platz now too. growing up in russia i'm used to a lot of gold so i have a small gold chain with a cross from my grandma and an aquarius sign from my mom (in russian gold), and sometimes i find girls that are actually put off by it like "you're actually wearing gold?! that's so old school." |

when i was a kid, i always loved the red and green lights. but the older i get, the more i like the blue ones. don't care much for the white ones.
outdoor decorations = blue
indoor decorations = green and red |
