k, at the min i have a coldsore..
say if i was pickin at it... and i went for a pee.. and i touched mr. happy.
would mr happy turn into a very scabby mr. unhappy?
i know they're sifferent strands of the herpes virus, but i heard somewhere that they can cause the other..
also, on my coldsore cream - i says not to perform oral sex.
anyone have any naswers? |

Very low chance. It's a different strain of virus.
Coldsores (Herpes) being Herpes Simplex Virus 1, Genital Herpes being Herpes Simplex Virus 2.
It's not the same thing, though they are related. |

However, you can get either strain on both places.
So yes, you can give yourself genital herpes from picking a cold sore, and then touching your wang. You can also pass herpes along to your partner by performing oral when you have a breakout.
Essentially, herpes can spawn anywhere there is a mucous gland. :nervous: |
