No, I don't think it's funny that I failed to mention music. I intentionally didn't mention music because of these key ideas. These ideas are something that you, as a music aficionado, are not very concerned with. You want music quality and that's it. You'll learn how to use something regardless of what it takes if it has something that you need as a part of it's overall package. I think I can agree with that.
The iPod is succesful because many people want a player that's simple to use, has a nice design and is generally regarded as cool. Apple would be stupid not to capitalize on that.
My point is that if you try to get the best product (concerning features, reliability, battery, etc.) for your money then an iPod is certainly not the first choice. |

| The new ipod classic that I have has 30 hours battery life when listening to music, and 5 hours video battery life...which is plenty for a normal human being. Plus they are easy to use, have good sound quality (when you use decent headphones), and are compact and look half decent too...the only problem I would have would be that you have to use itunes, but apart from that I've never had any trouble with mine at all:toocool: |

or that if you want to watch video it doesnt play the format that 95% of downloaded video is encoded at - xvid. |

just use videora (free software) to convert it, not really a big problem... |
