Can I suggest that we all (myself included) discontinue this for the sake of the thread and the work Nautilus has put into running the poll? |
I agree.
Where is the poll for Group D??? |

Thank you. This takes up some valuable leisure time, but I love this music so it's worth it!
The voting will follow Coup's 2004 format. The top two tracks from each heat 1 group will advance to heat 2. From there the top track from each heat 2 group will advance to the final along with the two top overall runner-up vote getters (votes from all heats). |
when you say "top two tracks", do you mean the combination of two tracks with the most votes OR ... do you mean the two tracks with the most votes across the different combinations. There can be a difference :)
Logically, it should be the second option but I'm just checking to make sure |

I saw that too. Noticed only 35 tracks in the poll. Group D is missing. |
WTH??? Thanks for pointing that out.
Guys, apparently one of the polling threads disappeared on us. I don't know what caused it, but I feel awful about it vanishing nonetheless. I've created a new Group D polling thread in the music poll forum, so please go back there and submit your votes if you already have done so. I'll create a new thread in the Music Discussion forum notifying others of this disappearance debacle. |

FCB, good question. I'm surprised no one has asked me this yet. You're sagacious in thinking that the votes will be counted based on the second method you described - different combinations.
The 2nd Heat will follow the same concept, with the 3rd and final heat allowing voters one vote amongst 6 tracks.
Happy New Years!!! |

| I hope Coma or I Go Deep takes this. Good diversity this year as mentioned makes it a pleasure to participate I have to admitt that i found some good stuff from this poll that i've obviously missed some how. |

The diversity was helped by the fact that 40 tunes made the end of the year polling were as the last two years only 32 made it.
Now that I'm much older and have less leisure time than I use to I rely on the nominations to keep me somewhat in the scene. So I always find quality tracks I never heard of once the nominations are in. |

Good it's that diverse, in every group there was at least one track I liked.

| I have the results for the 7 polls that closed today. I'm not going to bother posting them, because you can pretty much tell which tracks advanced and, anyways, I'll have the 2nd heat polls up by Friday. |
