I Hate napster (pg. 3)

Thanks for the advise people, but i already figured that downloading the longest version is the best way to go...But even the longest versions are missing the last few seconds of the song...I can't stand when I'm listening to the lead out of a song and it just cuts out abruptly...Also it sounds terrible when mixing...

As far as foodjunkies off shadowszone, they have the same rip I do where the vinyl skips part way through the song...

I'm not asking for alternatives to napster...just asking if anyone on this site can hook me up with the full versions of the tunes listed above...

thanks

OK..

couple of things audiogalaxy has been branded as "spyware" as well as bearshare version 3.

I have all the napsters up to v2b7 and a lot of the audiognome versions up to v.112.

If anyone is interested go here. Then hit the downloads link. They are there under "clients". You can also find some other helpful utilities, etc.

3 things i hate about napster

1. you can only search 100 at a time
2. you cant log on to multiple servers.
3. there is only 2 million files to choose..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually, maybe you know this already, but go to www.napigator.com and download the program there. It allows you to connect to 100's of different servers. Also, I've done searches where I've pulled up over 200 files at once...as for the last, with napigator, each server shows you how many files are available...some have up to 4 million files...
Enjoy.
Peace...

It's a shame Napster is about to die thou,
latest news on napster is that when they go to subscribe only they are capping MP3 to 128 Bitrate, they will be encoding MP3's so u can only play them in the napster software, plus u wont be able to burn them to CD as audio tracks cos the encoding makes them unrecogniseable to cd burning software, MP3.com already do that with most of their MP3 files, include the code that is to make them unrecogniseable by burners. they also dont show up in napster shared lists.
i got around that by burning them to audio CD using a audio cd burner hooked up to the audio out of my PC. then re ripping them to MP3 :)

Don u are right i DLed that junkfood Junkies track from shadowzone and it has the jump sorry buddy :(
i am looking for a better version of it too and if i find it i will post again.

back to my last post .I know about those bums who do have 56k and 14.4 and don't share. Reason is how can a person with a 14.4 have over 1000 files unless he ripped all of them. That would never happen So I see they lie about their modem speed. The only thing I hate about napster truly is the firewalled message. One song match thank god!!try to download and firewall message comes up. AAAARRRGGGHHHH. BUt right this sec I use winmx. I like it alot and finds those hard to find songs. Porblem is the downloading factor. Damn you get lucky on DL's there. Seaching other servers is good but trying to downlaod off other servers is not easy as Ayla-Ayla(part 1, or 2, or 3). Plus using winmx and napster at the same time don't primarily work so I gotta use one or the other. As for every other program if I knew how to use them correctly to my advantage I would like them but not. So I recommened other than napster winmx.

I hate it in Napster when your file trnsfer errors and it moves it to the Incomplete folder. Once I was downlaoding Peach "Sorrow Town" (Trouser Enthusiasts Mix). It was a large file, over 12 MB and when it got to 98% I went into my kitchen to et a drink. I came back up and deleted all the files from the incomplete folder and went back to Napster to listen to my track only to find it had transfer errored at 99% or something and had moved to the incomplete folder and I must have deleted it. It was so annoying, I never even got to hear the track. When you have 99% of the file why does it have to move them tot he incomplete folder??? I hate it!

I don't have any problems with Napster. I've been using it since BETA 1 & have gotten most of my 2000+ MP3 collection off of Napster. If Napster ever does go down though I'd have to say Audiognome is my alternative. Some other good ones are Audiogalaxy & Bearshare (which is a Gnutella based program, www.bearshare.com). I also heard that CuteMX is back, anybody know if it's true? That was a good program before the shut public sharing out. btw, my Napster sn is: pioneer451

lol 1) u can always get it back out from the Recycle Bin.. unless u set the recycle bin settings to like .5 mb..
hehe..
and ummm... u can also change the setting of the incomplte folder... u can make it not go there...
go to PRoperties or whatever it is =p

I've turned the Recycle Bin off, so when I delete files it just delete's them instantly!

I think Napster Suxx ...

I still use it, sometimes.

Napster is only good when you've got a fast connection. With a slow connection everybody kick you out, because it takes to long to download a song.
And I've got a really slow connection...

I only use napster to get songs I can't get on sites..
I try to avoid napster
