Statistics, statistics you lot are mad on them. Our footballers can run, You have to be 100% psychially fit even the goalkeepers.
It's not like the 1980's where you could get away with some players being overweight and go out on the beers the night before a game. It's a sport which has evolved a lot over the decades.
The fast food joke I never. What about getting them into universities with scholarships etc? Are you sure half them meatheads have any academic skill let alone any aspirations which go further then being a profesional NFL player? |

my view:
American Football/Gridiron/Pigskin - Despite the great atmosphere you can get tailgating and at the stadium, it's boring to watch live. However, it's really great to watch on TV.
Football/Soccer/Asso - Great sport to watch live, but unless you know the nuances of the game, it's boring to watch on TV |

neither do football players since they are training and playing since the age of 17.
