As for the Mtl-To thing, I think people are very vocal when they dislike it here, and over the years our batting average is pretty good I must say, since people come back for more, but we can't please everyone, especially those who are not in a mood to party. |
i dont hate mtl, i just think its not as big as its hyped up to be. i WILL come back to see if i can be impressed and think otherwise but its just another place to party in my opinion. its not the mecca of partying as ive been told |

That was easily one of the best party experiences I've had in MTL! This was both the thoughts from myself and the crew I went down with -- props to Tribe all around for putting this event together.
From the crowd's vibe, the sound, to the lights, to the randomness of the escalator/elevator this party had it all -- the booze wasn't so much of a big deal but I can understand how having waited outside so long may have sobered up the pre drinkers. Good thing we showed up late ;)
Hopefully there will be another party with a similar setup in the Pepsi forum -- for all those ppl who missed this one this time around... |

So much drama in this thread. Montreal has a great scene that's why I go there so often during the year. However, we here in Toronto take what we have for granted. When you get to go to Guv every weekend you don't know what you have. Why do people travel from all over to go to Guv. We here are spoiled with our scene (how many options we have, how many amazing locals we have). Can it be better? Of course, but every scene can be better.
Anyway,
Good times on Friday. Exceeded all expectations. Music was spot on (Sasha stole the show, Diggers was great and Sander didn't suck).
Set up was amazing, one of the best I've seen if not the best. I have come to expect that from Montreal and it just goes to show you what can be done to any space when the promoters aren't lazy. Anyone else notice the sound tech in the back of the crowd about a 1/2 an hour into Sasha's set adjusting the levels with his laptop.
Great friends made everything that much better. Usually when I head off to Montreal I stay with a couple friends and end up seeing the odd person I know from Toronto. Friday was just like being at a party in Toronto with all the friends that were there. |
