Devastated we missed this. We had a dinner party instead... Wha happen????
Anyway, looks fab. Will be sure to be there for the next one (if it ever happens again) and for the record, I saw S&D for the first time in 1996 at the Void. My how times have changed - sasha used to have lovely hair!!! :)
And ladies, you know I love you but I fully intend to go clubbing when I am pregnant. Sorry. :D

best music, party, vibe and atmosphere I've been to in an extremely long time....montreal women rule.
exstasie
Here's the best video so far that show's off the lighting system of the place.
PS. What was up with the sketchbags that would like strip naked and start massaging and rubbing each other with massage oil that they brought with them? And they they would do the Jesus crucification thing on each other. Kinda weird lol.

Just got back from Montreal late last night.
Amazing trip, I was sweating it a bit, because I hyped up the party so much for myself I was afraid no matter how good it would be I would end up being disappointed. But the only disappointment was that it had to end.
Insane night from what I remember.
Our cabby got into some serious road rage on the way from Hyatt to the Pepsi Forum, to a point where I didnt think it was funny, and told him to relax. Too bad he didnt speak a word of english, and I pissed him off even more I think lol. My friends called me, said no line up that they got in around midnight without a problem. We arrived at 12:20, lineup was INSANE, bending around the corner to the back of the building.
The line barely moved, we spent a good hour waiting in line. It was snowing, some folks were in skimpy tshirts, and some gals were in miniskirts, and light tops. I had my ski jacket on, thick hat, gloves, etc, and I was freezing. How anyone underdressed survived the lineup is beyond me. I did see some folks camping out at MickeyDs across the street. The snow was very scenic and beautiful though. Montreal is a good looking city!
It turns out, pepsiforum has indoor underground parking, our friends parked inside, so they cut the line this way, and didnt have to endure the linup. Security was funny, they didnt even look inside my bag, but the metal detector is a great idea though.
5 coat check counters for 4500 people? Ouch.
No booze in sight. Which of course means 4500 sober people.. lol
Great visual props, but I wish there were more lasers (I cannot believe I just said that hahaha). Well what they had was good, but I only saw one laser gun, so I thought it was a bit weak for a fairly large arena.
Crowd loved the music. Very techy sets, yet both Sasha and Digweed were great.
It was crowded on main floor, but if you danced hard people did give you some space to move around, plus plenty space on second floor, so no issues at all.
We went back to the Hyatt in the morning, the stupid pool didnt open till 4:30pm. We actually spoke to the manager asking her to open the pool for us, telling her we are from toronto, never been here before, blah blah, one day only, make an exception and we will come back, we will sign any drowning responsibility waivers etc... she was nice but didnt budge. grrr.
Anyhoo, amazing night, great road trip. Worth every penny.
PS. Lineup at Shwartz's was retarded. We just ordered for takeout and ate outside. Oh god that smoke meat is orgasmic.

WOW WOW AND WOW!!! I had BIG expectations going into this party, and they were far exceeded... I was looking forward more to seeing Digweed, having just seen Sasha at guv in October, And Digweed was phenominal, BUT I felt like I didn't even know who Sasha was because he was that retarded insane!!! In my eyes only Sasha could top the things Digweed was doing, and he just took it to that next level. Sasha stole the show, no questions asked! The mashups and loops he was doing with tracks was like WTF!!! Totally SASHA-FIED!!! Hands down the best party
i have ever been to. After experiencing this, I don't know how i will even get excited for other parties.. This smile is not going to be leaving my face anytime soon!

- I kept thinking to myself this is what CiRCA should have been like. I don't normally care for lighting but they had a crazy setup on Friday. And for a massive party like that the sound was pretty good too. On the whole I thought that TRIBE put on an awesome production.
- Crowd was good too. There was a good energy in that place and people seemed to be vibing and going off to the music. And whoa holy Toronto people. But as some have mentioned, some really sketchy peeps were up in that place as well lol. wtf is up with the crucifix body surfing thing lol.
- S+D killed it. I was really impressed with their music. Especially the latter portion of their set. I thought Sander was lame and left after maybe 45 mins of his set. I mean I knew there would be no way for him to follow up S+D but still. "At Night" with the "Take Me Away" accapella? off lol. Im never going to see him again FO REAL.
- only negative of the night (for me) was that I was sick ALL WEEK leading up to Friday (and I felt the absolute worst on Thursday night). So much so that I was debating even going up on Friday. So I really had NO ENERGY to fully enjoy myself and I had to spend a good portion of the night on the couches upstairs. *cries*

omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg
was the phrase and constant txt message of the night for me. Wow, holy!
almost died when I heard James Mowbray & Leiam Sullivan - Tropical Heights (Ink & Needle Remix). Track of the night for me!
Can't wait to review this . One of the best parties/sets EVER. Legendary.
