Drew, thanks for taking the time to come up and get a picture of us. It sucked that they didn't allow digital camera's in (wtf is up with that?) and it was great to get a group shot.

I have to say I had a great time. I hadn't been to an all ages massive since 2002 so I was a little apprehensive. However, the crowd was great and super friendly. Lots of NYE love going around. Good countdown with pyrotechnics too. Got there a 8:30 and the line was pretty short and organized. Took FOREVER to get out of the parking lot though.

Sasha & Digweed delivered in spades. The last hour especially was a mind . Looking back to Giant Maximus the previous NYE was no comparison, though, IMO. Way sicker music last year. Plus the sound and lighting at Giant was 1000x better. The sound at TAO just flat out sucked. Too far upfront and the bass drowned everything out. And it wasn't even good sounding bass. Just a boomy, tubby mess. The best sound was at the back of the arena floor but it still left much to be desired. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the Vanguard's Funktion-One these days but Giant proved you can get great sound at massives the previous year.

Stayed thru Ferry's set which was alot of fun. The crowd was really having a great time which was infectious. We were pretty much all the way upfront and couldn't hear anything but bass unless there was a breakdown or something. Ferry came out from behind the booth a couple of times which really pumped up the crowd. Its great seeing a DJ have so much genuine fun.

This definitely renewed my interest in all ages massives. I had become jaded after a couple of bad experiences but am looking foreward to these type of events in the future. Thanks Insomniac and Go Ventures. Just get some better sound in the future ;)

No, and thank god he didn't play it. That song is so old, boring, and played out. I wanted to hear a bunch of fresh, new, mind ing, sick tunes... and that's just what I got! I only recognized 1-2 songs.

Sasha and Digweed were UNINGBELIEVABLE. I would say it was the best set I have witnessed from either of them. It seemed like Sasha played the more spaced out, mind ing tunes... and Digweed played the more harder/darker tunes. I was extremely impressed what their flow and transition. They knew exactly what song to play at the right time.

OMG, does anyone know the song that they played at exactly 11:55pm (right before the countdown)? It had female vocals (but I can't remember what the vocals were :(). There were a bunch of other songs I want to know the names of, but they will be impossible to ID. I have to go download every possible Sasha & Digweed set now, in hopes of finding the songs, lol.

I really hope this set got recorded.

I thought the sound system was way better the last time I went to the Sports Arena (Daft Punk concert), but the sound was still pretty good. Other than that, the crowd didn't bother me that much. We were on the balcony by the the stage (perfect view) the whole night... so we didn't get bothered by any of the freaks. ;)

Also, having good company was a major part of the reason why I had such a good time.

I WISH their set was recorded!! I wanna listen to it again and catch what I didn't hear also.

Oh and nice meeting ya Greg! Was random! I saw you walking through the crowd and recognized your head! :haha: I gotta get me one of em TA wristbands.

God... what a great night. I so wanna go back!

awesome night, was a little tired when i got in but hung up in teh bleachers with julia, bullz greg and leah most of the time which was pretty fun, watching sasha and digweed control the crowd. went out and saw the last 30 minutes of deadmau5 whcih was nice then came back in for corsten to close it out. i was already tired by the time corsten was on but yea, i also thought last year's set was better, but this one was also phenomenal and i loved it. the crowd was uneasy for the first part from 1030 till 1200 and then after the countdown was over, it was hammer after hammer, hammers all night.

to everyone who expected xpander
sasha and digweed arent trance djs who play the old songs that made them famous.;)

EXACTLY!!! (unlike dj's like TIESTO, who STILL play all their cheesey as hell, old, played out tracks, and for some reason STILL stay famous, lol).

btw, nice hanging out with you too Hadi! I'm glad you found us on the bleachers! It was fun looking at eachother every 5 minutes and saying "WTF is this track"? :eyespop: :p

this was definently better than monster massive, wayyyy better vibe.

sasha and digweed were pretty chill.
deadmau5 played some dope stuff except there was a grip of electrical problems in the house stage. but other than that it was dope

ferry was pretty sick. good to see him for the first time.
did he play the song i love you at all?

Well i was rewatching my videos and i remembered i turned around to tell the guys behind me that the song coming up was ferry's beautiful.. and the guy was totally like yeah man this is beautiful. I dont really dig that song but my friends were hyping it up and it all just went on from there. I have to agree on the sound though.. i really wanted to be up front for the countdown but it was way too late. My girl was all scared that the indoor fireworks were gonna burn the place down too lol. I really do like the back though.. theres a lot of room to dance and theres always a breeze blowing through so its not too hot.

Funniest thing i saw.. i was getting a drink at one of the vendors and this kid totally steals a few waters out of the barrel.. then one of the bartenders totally sprints after him and she was gone for a good 10 minutes or so looking for him. That kid was hella fast though.
