The only peanut butter you need. And the thought of putting jam on it makes me feel sick. But I'm not American, so....

When I was a kid my dad always went out and got us fresh for our lunches every morning, and he made us really good deli sandwiches with fresh meat, etc. I don't think I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich till I was in my teens. I always thought we were poor because my dad never made them for us, lol.

I was actually quite the opposite. While my dad would make me ham sandwiches every now and then, I mostly got PB&J from like 4th grade through high school :p Still love them.
