you actually dont need a passport just yet if you are traveling by land.
does anyone know how far it is from the border???

I haven't been to Mexicali since I was a cute little brat. :toothless We'd catch a 3 day train ride to Guadalajara, Mexico.

From LA it's 198 miles, from TJ it's 118.

It takes me 2 1/2 Hours to get from Santa Ana to Mexicali. Mexicali is the border city with Calexico, CA and it also borders Arizona. Once you cross the fence you're in Mexicali. However, I never been to this venue so I have no clue how it is or where it is. I was born in Mexicali and go there all the time.
Because this will be in the winter time, expect FREEZING COLD Temperatures!!!! It's way colder than it is here.

and a taxi is not an options i'm assuming.
