Not true, I don't like arty-director-type hipster pissing matches. ;)
I'm sure his hoards are eating this up though, so good on him - plays ot his audience. |

By the way, nobody has said anything about the point he's trying to make.
I completely agree with him. You can't properly experience a film without some decent sound and picture quality. I even think watching movies on your notebook sucks. |

Yeah, it's a good point. Totally different experience. |

Oh dear is right - why shouldn't people watch movies on them? Because some measure of artistic integrity is lost?
Great for David Lynch - but if I feel like bringing a laptop, iPod, or any other portable media player on a plane to watch a movie the point is for me to be entertained, not to respect some pretentious twats idea of how "his" film should be watched. |

Apart from artistic integrity and your obvious dislike towards David Lynch, you can't seriously be claiming that watching a movie (insert your favorite movie here) on an iphone comes close to watching it on the big screen, or on a good system at home. That's like listening to music (insert your favorite track here) on some crappy laptop speakers instead of a decent sound system. So much is lost.
And a track lasts less than 10 mins, a film over 2 hours. Like Lynch says, you're cheated. |

You could't have missed my point more completely.
Go ahead and reread my last post, noodle it for a bit, then get back to me. ;) |
