FRIDAY -- BT @ Ruby Skye w/ James Williams and Alain Octavo (pg. 2)

BT is totally a hit or miss DJ. Seems like he's missed a lot the last few years but I do occasionally hear of him playing a great gig here or there. Heard lots of raves about his gig at Mighty awhile back (time before Temple).
I am shocked he's even still touring...but if there's nothing more he can really do except let the authorities handle things, him continuing to tour and playing his gigs and feeding off his fans might be the only thing keeping him sane.
Just curious to see if everything going on influences his set...ie. if it's more emotional and reflective of what's going on in his life.
Hope I can make it. Haven't been to ruby since like november! |

yeah, i thought the same thing about him touring given all the circumstances surrounding his daughter.
i really hope it all works out and i'm sure getting out there helps keep his head straight
as for him playing, i haven't seen him since TAO 12-31-2000 which was a live PA and was un-ing-believable so its been far too long
can't wait for tomorrow night to come |

here from la and in sf for work at - at the kensington park hotel which i think is close to ruby sky..so maybe i will stop by after dinner...in any case, dress code there? will there be a line? you all meeting up?

No dress code, but the crowd is usually collared shirt type.
You should get on the guestlist so you don't have to worry about line for tickets.

There are ins and outs so if you get there early you can get your hand stamped and come back whenever you want. :happy2: |

| if you sign up for the list make sure you show up early. it technically closes at midnight, but when the list is open to the public the line can get long and there's no guarantee it will move or that you will get in (free) if you show up at like 11:30. |

Learned that a friend is coming to visit tonight about an hour ago. Now I dunno if I'll go cause I think it'd be kinda rude! We'll see. Maybe I can convince him to come, but I doubt it. Took him to Ten15 once and he lasted about an hour. Just isn't a clubber.
We'll see. Maybe he'll get drunk and pass out by 11, lol. Then I could leave and be back before he wakes up! |

CANCELLED!?
I am trying to 100% confirm this but I heard that on my way home from work (ie, in the last hour or so?) BT cancelled his gig for tonight.
BT's MySpace also says "Ruby Skye -- Cancelled" for tonight.
Again, I am trying to 100% confirm but just giving a heads up.
If it did, the cancellation just occured. I imagine it has something to do with BT's daughter in the end, but again....I'm not sure.
This all happened on my way home and am trying to find out what's official and what can be said!! |

| well did you find out? ive been working a bit too much all week that i decided to just stay home, go through some new tracks, practice mixing then rest up for tomorrow and sunday :nervous: |

Whoops. Got sidetracked. Yeah, it's confirmed. Signs on the doors, but it looks like it really hasn't swayed anyone who has shown up. Just talked to Rich about 2 minutes ago and the line is wrapped way around the block.
Looking forward to seeing any reviews for the night...on more than a few occasions where the headliner cancelled, it turned out ot be an amazing night because those who show up and don't really know the supporting case (openers) end up being blown away.
