I don't know - my Polar could use a baby brother!

Looks like a direct competitor for the new Waldorf Blofeld. Anybody seen an expected street price for the Snow yet?

That's what I am wondering. I mean, I'd like to get an upgrade to my aging Virus B. If the specs are comparable to the full-size Virus TI, then it may be worth it.

I guess we'll find out in the spring.

Holy !!

Last night I dreamt that they made this exact product -- a miniture TI, much like the blofield :eyes:

Guessing US$600 to directly compete with the Waldorf Blofeld. Would expect it to be in a +/- $100 range?

* 4 Part multitimbral
* Polyphony between 10 to 50 voices depending on part.
* 2x Outputs
* 2x Inputs
* Midi In/Out
* USB (adds 6x Outputs like the full TI range), mid and to control VirusTC VST.

If that is the actual price and its the full TI engine, then its definitely worth it. $600 is really cheap for a quality synth and for those of us with multiple hardware synths the multitimbral limit and voice limits are not a huge deal.

A few initial questions that spawn...

Can I run 2 virus TI on my Logic system simultaneously?

I could program and and do all automation with my TI Desktop's knobs, then offload the patch to the 'snow' for processing power.

hmm...
Fledz
This could be pretty damn good. It's cheap as well.

i really doubt it will go for $600. i would say $900 will be more realistic (at least).

keep in mind this is a much more advance synth than the blofeld (4 parts vs. 2 parts, VST intergration, 100 index wavetables, etc.)

Agreed. Expecting this to sell for $600 is dreaming, as echosystm says, it's worth closer to 1k IMO.

Must be a good price.
