Great night, between the pregaming at my buddies place for his birthday and the 12-2 open bar for said event i probably must have drank a bottle of vodka. So i apologize to everyone for my drunken ramblings towards the end of the night. You'll be glad to know one of my friends was in the area so i didn't have to take a cab all by myself home :stongue: Damn you Mathias for leaving before i could force you to drink a shot with me!

LOL! Because of my mad ninja skills I was able to avoid detection!

Also I just wanted to give a quick nod to sylvia and ivan. You both played really solid opening sets. You guys did it proper. As far as Jody, I knew it wasn't going to be my thing but I had a good time regardless.

Also it was nice to finally meet yeah Spliph, and .

Just curious as to what was unlikable about it? Checking that video, I see he started with a reverential remix of a classic ("Smokebelch") that any self-respecting fan of dance music should appreciate (and I see you are a fan of quality like Holden and Matthew Johnson...also don't forget Jody polished quite the turd in the form of Holden's first released tune, "Horizons" ;)). I'm also disappointed to hear the new WOW (they've been churning out the goods since 1993, do check the self-titled debut if you haven't) material didn't impress you, as I've been fiending something new for a while. :\

i'm glad we decided to make it down for this (almost backed out at the last minute due to the cold and my car making some seriously weird noises), because it ended up being a pretty epic night. Sylvia and Ivan did a great job opening, and Jody played some really amazing stuff. the only tune i could ID was Starstrings, which sounded absolutely killer... love the bassline in that track.

but honestly i think the highlight of the night was walking through dome to go on a cigarette smoking adventure and pausing to rock out to "Show Me Love" :stongue:

Awwww, the party bus left without me:(

It's called "personal preference" - people don't have to like what you do, and your opinion of what any "self respecting fan of dance music" should like is entirely irrelevant.

I didn't say it was bad. I am just not a fan of that sound. I knew that going in so it’s not like I was disappointed nor had any misconceptions. I'm a techno, moody tech-house and trippy minimal sort of guy so it’s just not my style.

It’s like this, if I was to go to a country concert and the headliner played really well it probably wouldn't matter. He could play that Banjo like Jesus and if I am not a fan of the Banjo then it really isn't going to matter. While your fanboy persistence is rather cute it doesn't pertain to me.

Also pointing out a Holden track from like 7 years ago to try to rationalize or put things into my prospective is reaching pretty far.
