I've seen Vibe twice, he cleared the room both times. Like 5 people left on the dancefloor. You must have left for Umars by that time lol
And yes I'm drunk and looking for a fight. haha
ps. this thread needs more:
Harsh man, harsh. I'm sure many DJs would kill to have a fraction of the global poplarity and respect DJ Vibe has, not to mention the amazing longevity he has worked hard to secure. You know as well as anyone that Vibe won't be the first or the last international (or local) DJ to play in this city and have a less than stellar night, whether it be due to poor promotion, an inappropriate venue, a goofy time slot, other popular competing DJs booked on the same night, bad weather, etc., etc., etc.
I assume this night wasn't one of the nights you were referring to...
Anyway, all good. Now back to whatever the point of this thread was about again...I forget...:nervous:

My first foray into the love for Marco was at a dinner in Little Portugal I had with Nathan and friends. We were the only people in the restaurant so Nay asked if we could put Marco on and they let us! I was in love from that moment on.
THAT CD IS GOLD and is actually also the very cd that made me fall in love with carolla a few months prior to that dinner though
ive been hooked ever since
honestly his sets r ridiculously good, and same with his productions

[color=ccff00]It has to be said: Marco Carola ing rocks. Literally everything I've heard from him this year has been top quality stuff. Between the downloaded sets, his set at DEMF, and his hit track Apnea, he is at the top of my list right now. Being away from Toronto this year, Marco Carola @ The Gallery is the one party that I am truly upset that I missed. Based on the reviews from that party, and how on fire Marco Carola has been this year, I can only imagine the magic that happened in that room.
Here are some sets to check out:
Marco Carola @ Session Club - Bucharest - 15.12.2007

Marco Carola @ After Hours Carnival (Medellin) 05-11-2007

That night in the gallery was epic! That massive 5 hour set in romania is so good from start to finish i enjoyed the whole set. I also recommened the hardwired 09-09-2007 set. Definitly looking forward to seeing this guy again.

I fully know he's ancient but I don't understand how that's relevant to his current sound now? Or rather our appreciation of his successes? Is it so hard to believe that people can get better with age/experience? Steve Nash maybe?
I'm still in shock that RJ is posting something other than a weather report or a "today is beef jerky day" thread. I hope you're hungry RJ!

That may be true, but sometimes DJs hit a sweet spot in their careers. Everything lines up, what they are into, what the masses are diggin, and what producers are putting out.
