How do you know he doesn't?
He may not try and make a publicity stunt out of every donation he does.
This was a different situation where he donated a large sum of money to the hospital that saved his daughters life.
At least he cares enough to actually donate money. It's not like it's something that he has to do. |

I understand where you are coming from here but there is a big difference between how much disposable income one has when they make $20 million compared to say $80,000.00.
That being said.....Johnny Depp is definately a class act and I can't think of any bad press he gets. |

Yea. And I'm sure he donates money to other causes, I have no doubt.
This instance w/ his daughter simply spurred him to wanna donate to this particular cause, the children's hospital where his daughter's life was saved.
Fine by me. An awesome reason to want to act as such and single out this particular institution!

Well, yes that would be nice too, and yes seemly even more selfless of him, I hardly think bc he did this at a particular hospital that he wanted to show gratitude and thanks to means that we should be critisizing him, and essentailly stating "meh - you could have done better, Johnny Depp" :rolleyes: |

ya? i think I recall seeing many many years ago a programme on the telly down in Florida about Robin Williams's past and rise to fame (and the related trials and tribulations he went through)...
in this special i sort of recall maybe them discussing something about this?
Not entirely sure, but it's jogging some foggy tid-bit in the back of my mind.
Anyways, regardless, i wasnt actively aware that Williams' is/was a cokehead.
