I've been in -43C. It's nothing horrible. It's also nothing you can bear for long, 'tis true. But I've jumped out of a +110C sauna to be stunned by -60C and it didn't kill me. It's all just a matter of what you're used to. :p

I think the coldest temperature ever recorded... in a lab... was 1/10th of 1 billion degrees above absolute zero (-273c). No one's reached it yet.

Also I beleive that close to -60c if you throw a cup of water in the air, it freezes before it hits the ground.

If you piss in the snow it won't freeze on the way, but it'll freeze when it hits the ground.

How uncomfortable it is depends on a lot of other conditions. I've experienced a dry -50c on a sunny day with no winds in the north of quebec, and it felt much more comfortable than the all too common humid -5c with wind gusts that we get here in montreal.
