I've been in -43C. It's nothing horrible. It's also nothing you can bear for long, 'tis true. But I've jumped out of a +110C sauna to be stunned by -60C and it didn't kill me. It's all just a matter of what you're used to. :p |

I think the coldest temperature ever recorded... in a lab... was 1/10th of 1 billion degrees above absolute zero (-273c). No one's reached it yet.
Also I beleive that close to -60c if you throw a cup of water in the air, it freezes before it hits the ground. |

If you piss in the snow it won't freeze on the way, but it'll freeze when it hits the ground. |

How uncomfortable it is depends on a lot of other conditions. I've experienced a dry -50c on a sunny day with no winds in the north of quebec, and it felt much more comfortable than the all too common humid -5c with wind gusts that we get here in montreal. |
