I bought my 800s from moog and they where pretty expensive but im 2 paranoid to have em without warranty.

I read that they only price match with Canadian based sites or companies, if they match American prices, I'd be there now. Marcus the price match you got, where was it from?

And as far as ordering online goes, are there always extra custom fees or is it random? I thought about delivering it to a cousin's house in NY but going back into Canada with it might also be taxable etc...
Alex
Unlikely you'll have to do the customs thing, but you will certainly have to pay the applicable taxes.

I've bought a lot of audio gear from the states over the years. Sometimes they gank it at customs and tack on a lot in fees, other times it slips through. Think I've had to pay duties on average about 30% of the time.

it was from a us verified pioneer dealer in L.A

the biggestone there :) forgot the name tho

well i got a decent quote from moog audio for 2 CDJ 800 MK2's and a DJM 800, now all that's left for me to "inquire" about are the speaker(s)/monitor, what should i aim for assuming ill mostly be doing bedroom/basement djing.
Marcus007
how much for the two cdjs?
tazzjayz
1600 tax in with warranty

i like my KRK 8 Inch Monitors ...and their not too too expensive ($561.99), it really depends on how much you want to spend and how loud you want them to be but KRK has a good reputation and their good for bedroom DJing like i do. (well actually basement haha)

I bought my equipement (CDJ 200 & DJM 800) at Spectre Sonore in South Shore, they have very interesting prices.

i dunno about in canada but if you have guitar center around they price matched my 800mk2's with djdeals.com and it saved me buttloads.(i payed like 620 each american)and i was able to bring them home right then. just throwing it out there might help someone somewhere

also the 1000's i think are a little overkill for bedroom dj'ing. the wav display and the .02% are awsome but you gotta ask if thats worth the extra loot. either way your in for a treat they're both sweet

I finally got the 800's and the DJM 800 no 1000's
