I don't think anyone's mentioned the street-meat gyro stands on the street yet, but that's my quick late-night food of choice for the past year or so.... Going to White Castle or Checkers is only if I have time to burn, it's a luxury... haha... |
The street-meat stand on 53rd and 6th rule. They're great to eat especially when trying to sober up |

My boyfriend has talked about Tiffany's before. Is that the one that was like on 3rd ave where the Verrazano is?
Vegas isn;t bad but the young "wannabe" crowd makes it annoying. |

bridgeview is on 3rd and 90th st. it's geezer central. tiffany's used to be on the corner of 4th and 99th but it was torn down a few months ago to make room for yet another bank... americana is grim and dreary. el greco is ok during the summer when you can sit outside across from the marina.
vegas used to be my fav. diner in the city (along with neptune) but it's gone downhill. as far as the ginzos and the goumba-ish greeks are concerned, they come with the territory and will be in almost any spot in bay ridge, bensonhurst or dyker heights.
[+1 to the meat cart on 53rd St. there are some top notch cuban sandwich spots in the l.e.s.] |
