there's good music out there that's not electronic, and there's plenty of electronic talent anyway so I don't know what you're complaining about.
This might be the year that I find a way to go. Roger Waters as the deciding factor making it worth the trip (and as much of Tenaglia as I can see without missing him), S&D and Hot Chip et al. as a nice bonus the night before. |

There has also been GREAT speculation that Aphex Twin is putting together a live act. |

Wrong. There are additions every year. A couple big ones and quite a few smaller ones. |

He was added the day before because the subways weren't able to play. Not a bad performance too. Here's hoping for A Tribe Called Quest of Blackstar. |

coachella boards remind us that:

I'm pretty sure there were at least a few other artists confirmed via their myspace or news article that were not on the poster either. This definitely is not the end. Per the case of Aphex Twin, they would definitely not be on the ballot yet because according to the source, they were still in the process of putting their act together.
Spin magazine, the one we all got free w/ 3 day passes last year, in their interview with daft punk read that the daft punk performance was originally intended as a ONE-OFF performance for coachella, recycling the pyramid from their technologic video.
Just something to think about. Big things could still be on their way, but the artist's act might not be finished yet. Just an example.
