haha i kind of agree with that...actually the very first time i was there (early 2003) he was spinnin when we got there...and comparing that to now...not quite the same |

As for The Zone being Disneyland these days, I would have to agree. Even though I heard its craziest times were around 2000-2002 (when G first started gaining popularity, and people were just dropping like flies), when I started going in 2004 (wow, almost 4 years ago already?!) it was still a lot crazier than it is today. My perception of its crazyness probably had something to do with it, because I had just started going, but I remember that 9/10 times that I went to The Zone, it felt like the place was being held up by a fraying thread. The whole front of the DJ booth would just be losing it from 6-10am, almost every time I went. Nowadays, I still get that feeling every once in a while, but it's pretty rare (ie usually on long weekends). |
im with you on that on Graham. I rememeber it would be a madd house, raining sweat. the place going OFFF at 9 on a warm sunday morning u could feel the bass through the sidewalks as u were waiting in line, trying not to look tired, shielding your eyes with ta hat and sungalsses... i reemmber the line ups being tense, everyone shuffling aroudn outside trying to hide their anticipation, aruging with Alex at the door over trying to get a group to skip the line, then going down the steps. past coat check, u get blasted by the heat and the music..drawn in, and it engulfs you..... |

| hmmm comfort zone, id say it is great entertainment to say the least. Whether the insane scary people or just the good music its a fun time. you have to be really carefully, I feel not in the safest possition when i am there lol. |

| The Zone just hasn't been the same since Addy's departure. He's what made CZ with his opening time slot for years. Always remembered his signature sounds on Sunday mornings. Old schoolers like myself miss the sounds of Silk & Addy! ;) |

You were with jsibilin right? Where exactly is that place.. I thought it was in funhaus on top of shoppers. Is it in a temp location until they are done the sound proofing? |
