Interesting read christos, but it lost me the minute the author tried to argue that Terry Butcher was a big loss for England coaching ranks...

Arhcie would have nailed the two chances that Aloisi screwed up in the last half that's for sure ;)
Carney was the standout for me last night, continually directing the play forward he completley dominated his wing. He's certainly going to be a big part of this campaign. |
did aloisi need to put those two goals in though? Even if archie put them in, what difference would it have made? |

What type of Logic is that Chris? LOL
Using that Logic, did Pim even need to even sub him on? What was the point of him even playing? |

it's pretty simple Dean.....
Aloisi didn't HAVE to score in all fairness, obviously he tried and missed...big ! if the scores were nil nil then , dean you're spot on right...but not that bit about Archie!!! LOL
You can hypothesise all you like, the winning goals were all scored before half time, what logic is that you ask? simple mate. The game was called before first half, anything that came after that was simply a slap in the face to Qatar.
If you didn't notice, Australia drained the out of the second half, the worst part about teams slamming it first half...they hold the game for the win and makes for ty viewing.
who did aloisi replace? Kennedy...why? injured. He probably would never have been subbed on if Kennedy didn't ruin his ankle. , did you even watch the game!!!?!?!LOL |

dont think he was that serious about the comment lol, a bit of a wink at the end and we were all at the game and wanted Archie to come on just for Melbourne's sake :D

I think they would have subbed Kennedy off anyway - they were in no danger of losing and might as well change them around.
Boy your right though - the 2nd half was boring as except for watching their keeper - great entertainment. |

Chris think about it....
What if it all comes down to goal difference, then we will curse aloisi wont we, id much rather win 5-0 then 3-0, it makes it alot harder for other teams to catch us in terms of goal difference. |

hey dean. what's the difference between an orange?
at the end of the day paulie you can't view games like that, you'll never be happy with the result. how many times do players miss... happens. If they can't step up when it matters most, clearly they aren't cut out for world competition, because everyone plays under the same pressure. it's pretty simple. |

Premier League goes global?
http://soccernet-akamai.espn.go.com...=505866&cc=3436
this apparently means we'll see game(s) played in Sydney if it all goes to plan. I reckon that's awesome! Have a read it's looking the goods but not so sure how player's fitness will hold up since they play 3-4 games per week at certain times with champions league, carling cup, FA etc. and now adding this may be a challenge. |
