Unless you get a hostel that has a single room just for you guys then its not bad, but otherwise I would stick with Hotel.
Also something good to note, you can always bargain how much its going to cost you to stay at a hotel for the night. They don't want you to go across the street to another hotel so they will drop the price so they make the money and not the competitor...

Honestly hotels are decently priced there. And if you're going to a place like Ibiza, you don't want to stay in hostel, trust me. The comforts that a hotel room affords is well worth the extra money.
I heard of some hotels that charge like 60EUR/night (however that was in off season) with breakfast and dinner included. Check out Fiesta Hotel in Playa den Bossa.

I was younger when I went but my friends just went last year and they only stayed at a hostel one night but didn't like it really, due to the fact that you have a lot of backpackers and different people in one room. I know that hostels have single rooms available but with no washroom inside you have to share it. I know that if I was going with my g/f I wouldn't stay at a hostel. But definetly don't forget to bargain!

I was just going to recommend this chain of hotels. Either the Fiesta Hotel or Fiesta Club (they are right beside eachother). Thats where I stayed when I went. IMO the Fiesta Hotel Playa D'en Bossa + Fiesta Club Playa D'en Bossa are in the best location of the island. Its literally right across the street from Space. Bora Bora is 3 blocks away. DC-10 is about a 5 Euro cab ride away or you can even walk from there. And Pacha + Amnesia are about a 10 Euro cab ride away. Also both of those spots are right on the beach too.
I'm thinking of 4 days in Ibiza, but I'm not sure yet. It depends how much I spend in Asia first, and how much I can spare from the rest of Europe. When I finish up my planning for the rest of my oddessey, I'll work out if the (+$$$$+$$$+$$+$) for Ibiza is feasable.

Has anyone ever stayed at a resort in Ibiza? I might make it a relaxing/clubbing holiday. When I was in Mexico, I stayed at the Sirenis resorts and noticed that they have about 7-8 resorts in Ibiza...
