| I should have gone last summer - Ibiza is like WMC, I'm just never going to get there. Every year I just start thinking there are more interesting places in the world to go visit...that's just me getting older I guess. |

Agreed. Found this to be EXACTLY the case when down in Cuba. You're just far more inclinded to make random chat and meet a good deal of ppl.

Jem: lol I WAS poor because I have been in school for 26 years of my life, but NOW I can finally go and do what I want :) (I still have a huge rent, tho, so my travels will be limited to a couple times a year!!) lol
vrk: Definately, its much more ideal to go WITH someone, but we were literally days away from booking when she lost her job and her place within a weeks time. Soooo I wanna DO something!! I am sick of new york!! :mad: :( |

i can't speak for travelling to ibizia alone, but travelling alone IS SO MUCH BETTER. holy , never going to travel with anyone every again. well except road trips cause financially it's better |

as for travelling alone, yes I have gone with friends the last couple of years and had an awesome time. I have also gone to Amsterdam a few times alone (once for 2 weeks) and I had the best time. I got to explore the city on my own. Everything was on my terms and I was really able to enjoy myself instead of worrying about everyone else and how they are doing (I did that too much when I travelled with ppl especially when it was their first time going to Amsterdam) so it was a relief for me.
I met AWESOME friends travelling alone too. That is part of the reason why I keep going back. I have to have my yearly visit with them :) |
