My fav movies:

Yeah, I don't care if it came out in 1994. I'm still living in 2004. |
VINCENT
Thanks a bunch.
(to Jules, who's
nursing his coffee)
Want a sausage?
JULES
Naw, I don't eat pork.
VINCENT
Are you Jewish?
JULES
I ain't Jewish man, I just don't
dig on swine.
VINCENT
Why not?
JULES
They're filthy animals. I don't
eat filthy animals.
VINCENT
Sausages taste good. Pork chops
taste good.
JULES
A sewer rat may taste like pumpkin
pie. I'll never know 'cause even
if it did, I wouldn't eat the
filthy mother******.
VINCENT
How about dogs?
JULES
I don't eat dog either.
VINCENT
Yes, but do you consider a dog to
be a filthy animal?
JULES
I wouldn't go so far as to call a
dog filthy, but they're definitely
dirty. But a dog's got
personality. And personality goes
a long way.
VINCENT
So by that rationale, if a pig had
a better personality, he's cease to
be a filthy animal?
JULES
We'd have to be talkin' 'bout one
motherin' charmin' pig. It'd
have to be the Cary Grant of pigs.
The two men laugh. |

+1
too abstract and the audience has no emotional connection to rachel weiss' character.

ps. are you serious about 300 being your fav movie in the last decade? I honestly thought that movie was garbage, so over-hyped - to each his own though! |
+1
300 is a pile of garbage. shirtless men beating their chest yelling with slow mo killing. snore. |

In terms of best war scenes (quality of story is debatable)
-Saving Private Ryan
-Band of Bros (I know it's not a movie but a series, but you get what I'm trying to get at)
-Taegukgi: Brotherhood of War (Korean film that puts Saving Private Ryan to shame in terms of war scenes)
-Children of Men (last hour or so where the govt troops take on the Fish rebels in that town)
I admit. Some cool scenes in Enemy at the Gates esp. the patented Russian human wave assault, but the story sucked and the film didn't even get the story right. (how Zaitsev actually killed Maj Koenig) |

'Enemy at the Gates' was good, but can't hold a candle to "Saving Private Ryan". Like not even in the same ballpark!
COME ON PEOPLE! lol |

| It's a great flick. It's a bit of a stretch to call it a movie, and a definite bastardization to call it a film. |
