The problem with history is that it's often far too boring to make it to the big screen accurately.

complete BS.

you do not have to falsify history in order to make a historically accurate, and exciting movie

it's the unnecessary over hollywood-ization of historical movies that annoys the hell out of me. I'm guessing laziness of script writers also plays a big part. (Do your freaking research, get it right)

I'm enjoying your Jan Prog House Promo dood.

One criticism: the set's volume needs to be upped just a bit (maybe 10% or so).

All I'm saying is that this is where history usually fails. Real history is just not as exciting as the movies. Movies usually hinge on improbable events coming together. History obviously is the opposite - where it's the probable events that DO happen, not the improbable.

Well yes, it is annoying, but I never really go to the movies to learn history. Usually I even ignore the "based on a true story" blurbs because i know how loosely hollywood execs use the term "based". As for Enemy At The Gates, I didn't even know it was supposed to be a historical movie. I knew it was a historical movie in the sense that IT COULD HAVE happened, but not in the sense that those people actually existed.
