not a game, game perse, but definitely one of the most addicting puzzle/physics/games out there.

you have to build a bridge with set materials/money for a train over a river. gets harder and harder, try the demo|

Yay, my memory still serves me well.

God I loved driving the cars and running people over :D

I have fond memories of plowing down 2 dozen people and a building with a 4 man mini-gun barrage. :D

wonderboy and the draon's trap/curse (master system)

everyone always remembers the mario boys, but rarely considers the much more sophisticated wonderboy II (monsterworld) and III the dragon's trap. a platformer/adventure game where instead of a static, side-scolling platformer, you basically moved around as you saw fit, buying armour and weapons, potions, spells etc. in III you also had about 6 different animals you could change into that would allow you to do different things and get to different places. its one of the few 8 bit games that still get me off today.

I remember Wonderboy! I completed Wonderboy 3 on the Game Gear back in 1990 when I was eight. Jeez... How time has passed!

Awesome game :D
EvilTree
Ascendancy

I rate this as good as Master of Orion 2. A bit different game with less in depth in terms of planet infrastructure, but ship customization was way better than Moo2. Plus the tech tree was designed very well.

Colonization

A bit of unknown sister to Civilization, I thought the game mechanic worked well, with lots to do. Though it's not hard to win the game with only one city and you declare independence.

Monty Python: The Quest for the Holy Grail

Best game of 932AD! Perhaps one of the most random game I've ever played, with interesting mini games like Tetris with dead plague victims (with occassional live ones squirming around), Spank the Virgins (which serves no purpose at all), etc. You can even watch the entire movie. (though at like 100x the speed)

remembered this one last night, i should maybe check out the sequel, as the first was pretty damn good:

No One Lives Forever

CONNERMAN2000
NOLF was awesome, played the demo, and I remember the game having a lot of humor too.

I know this is a little much to say that this game has never been heard of, as it was semi-popular. However since it belonged to the Final Fantasy franchise, I'd say it was the most unsung FF game on the PS1.

I'm of course talking about :

I still play this game about once a year. It's that good. The story line was so wonderful and developed. The replay value was through the roof, and the Music Score was to die for.

This game could go down as THE best turn-style strategy RPG ever.

If you've never played it, I'd suggest doing so. If you have played it, then you should know what I'm talking about.

Haha man, last year at uni there was a time half of our class in the computer labs was building bridges with that.

I think the game used to be free though, we had like 30 levels, not just 10.
