Last yr they wait 4 the last min. to annc. the headliner 4
the Kiss party ! Proble thats why nobody came out 4 this party !

They cant promote for . No event should have phases to their artists. I mean why the would you say stay tuned for more artists. Just have a limited amount of presales and then have the price increases, but release all the names or the amount of people that will show will be very slim. And wetgrooves did it wrong to start with haha. They released the small names and released the big ones last haha. Yea... way to go Steve haha. Kiss was probably the worst party last year with attendance and yet had a solid lineup - one of the best that year.

element, you still just don't get the concept of WHY promoters wait to release full line-ups. you don't know anything about throwing a party. LOTS of promoters do this, it works REALLY WELL in getting people excited about the party, and wanting to see who they might book. it's almost the same concept as a movie showing you trailers. they get you excited about the movie don't they? so do little bits of info about parties and the line-ups. it also gets people talking about the party. it must work if promoters still do it. it's not a hard concept to understand. you keep saying how many years you have gone to conference yet you still don't get the reason to why people do what they do... it's the SAME EVERY YEAR! haven't you noticed this? don't you get it? you're a WMC VET (or so you say), learn to deal with the way people promote parties.

Read a little closer in regards to what i said before being a smartass and for some reason trying to bash me. I said wetgrooves doesnt have it right. By the way, i am a business major so i think i do understand a little more than you might unless thats your major as well. Wetgrooves ed up! pure and simple on the Kiss Party. To start, they released phase 1 of the line up late from what i recall i think. This didnt list anyone major really either. Everything said suprise dj. If you want to hype people as a way to attract supporters to follow up and attend, you do what space does or any other organizer. Release two or even one (if the name is big enough) big names, and then have a two part presale thing online. Have phase 1 of presales go real quick to stir hype and appear that the event has high demand (setting very few at a low presale cost). Give phase 2 of presale cost a while then release another phase or possibly two more of entire artiuts lineup. But if you do this all while having no big name on the bill, the hype juyst isnt there. And being wmc to start with, where there are parties from corner to corner and names being snatched right away for marketing and promotions, your event will just die in the clutter. So please, before you bash me and bring me up saying its my 5th time etc, just stupid ass immature , get a degree in some field of business and then talk up.

Just look at how well space and other events are right now. FMIF announced Guetta - well its his thing really, but already the hype is huge. Lets use a name that isnt their party. Juicy - announced 4 names or so by letting artists spread them on myspace, then announced the entire bill. The starting names were big and stireed hype. Same with SVD, Ferry, etc. One name will do it, but starting off low named wont get you .

well i don't recall how wetgrooves did it last year, i barely remember what i did 5 minutes ago. and of course releasing small names is bad martketing. that's a no brainer. and don't talk about degrees when you don't even know me. and i'm not saying you are stupid either. BUT last year you did this same thing. ultra releases in phases, and you whine every year about them not putting the whole line-up out. that's what i'm talking about. space is totally different b/c they get the biggest names and that's all. there isn't much more to thier line-ups. (fri pvd, sander k)(sat deep dish)... bottom line my point is, let the promoters release how they want, when they want. just be patient. it is the same every year from these guys. so sit tight, they will all get released in due time and we will all have fun come late march...
