Well he hurt his back, and is getting workers comp. She's still looking hard for a job, still yet to find one. She is a dentist but with no office of her own, and no Florida dental license. These really are some hard times, but I just had to let it be known that I won't stick around forever, waiting for the next big crisis to freak out about..

if you really feel that bad about it perhaps you could try and help her get her Florida dental license? like pay for the application fee or something? but yeah, I agree with the general consensus, you can't support them forever and if you want to move out than go for it.

Don't think about putting up with their crap. You're twenty, you're giving them notice, they should be able to do just fine. If they can't support your decision, tough.

What kind of a job is she looking for? Is she looking strictly for dental work? Why can't she apply for a really basic job (like something in retail) and work even part-time while looking for a more permanent job? Sorry, but I think it's moronic to sit there and say, "Oh, woe is me, I can't find the job that I want so I'm going to sit here unemployed and accept money from my son, la-de-da." No. Grow up, swallow your pride and work at some basic part-time job to support yourself until you come across the job that you want. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.)
Oh, and also...

dont you love your mother enough to support her in her dire moment after shes been through a divorce and obviously is in a complete state of utter stress? After she raised you and gave you an opportunity to go out and find a job? I grew up in a ing foster home somewhere in rural ukraine.

you are a perfect example of the kind of mindset children have as a result of growing up in a capitalistic country.

im playin man. If I was in your position I would most likely move out, I mean technically you could send her a bit of cash from wherever it is that you live, right? Speaking personally though, the main reason I would move out if I was you is the massive ammount of living alone leads you to acquire. If thats not a good reason, NOTHING (even riding the bike) is!! keep that in mind. -Kiev
